Job summary

Bridgestone EMEA, via Otraco Southern Africa, seeks a tyre service technician to inspect, service and replace tyres across vehicle fleets. You will contribute to safety, performance and efficiency by maintaining tyres in good condition and performing repairs as required.

Responsibilities include recording data, equipment checks, wheel mounting, tyre mounting/removal, and maintaining high service standards. Valid licenses and mining sector experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different tyre types, specs and repair techniques.
• Ability to use tyre changers, balancers and alignment machines.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Record tyre changes or related information accurately and forward as required.
• Carry out equipment checks and calibrations per procedures.
• Fit and remove wheels from vehicles according to procedures.
• Mount/dismount tyres and rims per procedures.
• Repair tyres and tubes per procedures.
• Operate forklifts and tyre handlers per procedures.
• Clean, paint and test rim components.
• Inspect and judge wheel components for continued service.
• Maintain tyre pressures per site specs.
• Provide high quality service to clients.
• Handle additional duties as required.
