TX-R-15,TX-R-15 / Master Technician

Qualified BMW Master Technician to maintain and service BMW Group vehicles, as well as SAPS, Embassy and BMW i-cars and communicate technical aspects through TSARA to technical department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction in the service and repair of vehicles in a safe and economical manner.
• Testing vehicles and diagnosing defects.
• Taking care of all customer vehicles and property.
• Indicating possible future vehicle faults and servicing requirements.
• Report on general condition of vehicles.
• Ensure work carried out to manufacturer safety and quality standards.
• Ensure all hours and material usage is accurately recorded.
• Note and report all components, materials and consumables used.
• Minimize wastage of materials, oils and fluids.
• Loading of new software on ISIS and other computers.
• Feedback to VA on problematic vehicles.
• TEM administrator.
• Reports on TSARA.
• Conduct repairs on all high protection vehicles and sign off on any repairs done on vehicle.

Technical Skills/Technical Ability:

1. Trained to work on electric and hybrid cars and must be a Qualified BMW Master Technician as per BMW group standard.
2. Technical aptitude, diagnostic system knowledge, leadership & negotiating skills and industrial relations.
3. Substantial knowledge of motor vehicles and state of the art technologies.
4. Substantial knowledge in artisan skills and communication.
5. Knowledge of quality control, SPC, ISO 9000, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14000 and OHS act.
6. Knowledge and experience in quality systems.
7. Language: Afrikaans and English.
8. High voltage training and must have a high level diagnostic ability.

Educational Qualifications:

National technical diploma (NQF 4) Plus BMW Master Technician Certificate.
