Job summary

Placements24 client seeks an experienced childminder to care for twin toddlers aged 2 in a private Mossel Bay home. You will provide a safe, nurturing environment that supports physical, emotional and intellectual development.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, preparing healthy meals, managing routines, and maintaining a clean, child-friendly space. Must have 5+ years in childcare, First Aid/CPR, and strong references.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional childcare experience.
• Experience with multiples is preferred.
• Certified in First Aid and CPR.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Patience, empathy and genuine affection for children.
• Ability to create and maintain a consistent daily schedule.
• Outstanding references from previous families and background check clearance.
• Ability to work independently in Mossel Bay.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and loving care for twin toddlers.
• Ensure the safety and security of the children at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate daily activities including play, learning and rest.
• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary guidelines.
• Manage diaper changes, dressing, and sleep routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, child-friendly living environment.
• Encourage social interaction and development.
• Communicate regularly with parents about the children's day and milestones.
• Handle minor illnesses or injuries with calm competence following parental guidance.
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for the children's growth.
