Position Title: Turbo Machinery Repairs Engineer

Siemens Energy is seeking a highly skilled Turbo Machinery Engineer with experience in steam turbine and compressor operations and their components. This role is critical in enhancing our local maintenance & repair capabilities and ensuring we meet customer needs. As a Turbo Machinery Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to drive innovative repair & maintenance solutions, collaborating with a dynamic team and engaging with customers to deliver exceptional service.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  1. Demonstrate understanding of steam turbine and turbo compressor components, enhancing local repair and maintenance capabilities.
  2. Utilize documentation management systems efficiently, ensuring compliance with authority limits during maintenance and repair activities.
  3. Build and maintain relationships with colleagues in our repairs network and Product Competency Centres for compressors and steam turbines.
  4. Compile detailed service reports, including repair recommendations and development of repair procedures.
  5. Assist the order management team with customer inquiries related to project planning and costing.
  6. Support larger refurbishment projects, breakdown support, and modernization solutions through field service.
  7. Contribute to Digital Inspection Jackets and advanced inspection techniques, promoting the use of Field Service tools like Polaris and DIJ.
  8. Select, develop, and qualify repair solutions for projects in workshops or on-site.
  9. Expand complex repair capabilities at Wadeville service centre to meet market demands.
  10. Develop relationships with Product Centres and service providers to qualify new repair or manufacturing solutions.
  11. Analyze process data to support fault-finding and operational efficiency.
  12. Foster a culture of continuous learning and aim to become a repair and fact-finding specialist.
  13. Present modernization offerings, repair scopes, and investigate machine issues for technical and customer approval.

What You Bring

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. 2 to 5 years of experience in rotating equipment, turbo machinery repairs, with knowledge of engineering drawings.
  3. Experience in a turbomachinery repair centre environment, focusing on steam turbines and compressors.
  4. Understanding of manufacturing, repair processes, materials, and inspection techniques.
