Job description

Purpose

Our client in the stainless-steel tubing manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Tube Mill Operator to produce high-quality stainless-steel tubing through the operation of a Tube Mill. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be committed to maintaining product quality, equipment efficiency, and workplace safety.

Minimum Requirements

• A technical qualification and/or be a qualified Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Welder, or Mechanical.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment and operating similar equipment in the Tube Making Industry.
• Matric certificate.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Responsibilities include controlling product quality, making rebuilds and tooling changes, setting up NDT testing equipment, conducting TPM tasks, and adhering to safety regulations and SOPs.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and repair according to procedures.
• Manufacture parts conforming to customer requirements following operational and quality procedures.

Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Knowledge of stainless steel and welding of stainless steel is advantageous.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to perform accurate measurements with various measuring equipment.
