Job summary

A reputable truck sales company in Potchefstroom is seeking a Truck Sales Executive to plan sales activities, manage customer relationships, and achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of truck sales experience, preferably with Hino, and strong project management skills. Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. The position offers a highly competitive package and requires integrity and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

  • Must have own database and proven sales record.
  • No criminal record (mandatory).

Responsibilities

  • Plan all sales activities for allocated strategic accounts.
  • Ensure efficient liaison meetings at the dealer level.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly targets (unit sales, market share, gross profit).
  • Manage vehicle payments to debtors within sale terms for timely commission payouts.

Package & Remuneration: Highly competitive market-related basic package

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of truck sales experience.
  • Hino experience highly advantageous.
  • Sufficient knowledge of trucks and the industry.
  • Project management skills.
  • Must have own database.
  • Proven sales record.
  • Knowledge of Road Traffic Act and Regulations.
  • Experience with HTM / TranSolve systems.
  • Ability to understand CPK and perform calculations in various applications.
  • Knowledge of vehicle body legalities and client specifications.
  • Willingness to grow and share knowledge with the team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Integrity and honesty.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • No criminal record (mandatory).
  • Code 10 or 14 driver's licenses are advantageous.

Duties (not limited to)

  1. Plan all sales activities for allocated strategic accounts.
  2. Provide customers with a point-of-contact scenario.
  3. Ensure efficient liaison meetings at the dealer level.
  4. Contribute to sales CSM results and enhance customer satisfaction and relationships.
  5. Achieve or exceed monthly targets (unit sales, market share, gross profit).
  6. Vehicle selection and load body fitment/procurement.
  7. Vehicle delivery, handover, payment, and deal file closure.
  8. Follow up with prospective customers.
  9. Visit prospective customers at least twice monthly.
  10. Contact current customers at least once monthly via phone, with a follow-up visit.
  11. Ensure vehicles are invoiced promptly and support the process.
  12. Manage vehicle payments to debtors within sale terms for timely commission payouts.
  13. Prepare and present customer quotations, including electronic side-view drawings.
