Job description

Properly plan all sales activities for allocated strategic accounts (get involved). Provide customers with a point-of-contact scenario. Apply the retail pricing framework sensibly and profitably. Ensure efficient liaison meetings take place at the Dealer level. Coordinate after-sales activities for allocated strategic accounts. Contribute to sales CSM results, grow customer satisfaction and relationships. Provide a sales engineering service to ensure correct vehicle selection. Apply strict measures to the company's SHE policy at all times. Ensure Best Practices are always applied.

Maintain proper housekeeping in and around the facility. Achieve or exceed the agreed annual targets (unit sales, market share, and gross profit). Use only suppliers approved by the after-market panel to ensure vehicle warranty remains intact for the customer.

KEY DRIVERS

Accurate understanding of the deal process, including:

  1. Deal closure
  2. Vehicle selection and load body fitment / procurement
  3. Vehicle delivery and handover
  4. Vehicle payment and deal file closure

Maintain strict control over vehicle deliveries and handovers.

CUSTOMER RELATIONS

Manage and drive high levels of customer interaction. Keep customers updated on transactions. Follow up with prospective customers weekly via phone or email and visit them at least twice a month. Contact current customers monthly by phone and visit them once a month.

CUSTOMER RETENTION AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES

Maintain a synchronized database with the company. Update and share this information monthly with the Sales Manager and Sales Administrator via email. Proactively follow up and inform customers about market changes and events.

MONITORING AND ADMINISTRATION

Ensure timely invoicing of vehicles and support the process. Keep vehicle payment debtors within agreed terms to facilitate timely commission payouts. Ensure all cash sales are paid in full. Take corrective action on any discrepancies.

CUSTOMER CARE

Maintain high levels of customer interaction. Provide relevant and accurate feedback. Promote the company as a trustworthy and reliable brand.

TRANSOLVE / HTM (ELECTRONIC SELLING TOOLS)

Prepare and present customer quotations with electronic mass distribution drawings. Include route simulations and other relevant information for clarity. Ensure all sales activities are conducted diligently, contributing to departmental and company profitability.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric Certificate or higher
  • 5 years of new truck sales experience
  • Sufficient knowledge of trucks and industry
  • Must have own database and proven sales record
  • Knowledge of Road Traffic Act and Regulations
  • Experience with HTM / Transolve
  • Ability to understand and calculate CPK in various applications
  • Knowledge of vehicle bodies' legal and client specifications
  • Willingness to grow and share knowledge with the team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Integrity and honesty
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Driver's license (Code 10 or 14) advantageous
