Position: Business Development Consultant

A Triton Express Business Development Consultant identifies and pursues new business opportunities, builds client relationships, and presents tailored logistics solutions to meet customer needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Prospecting for new business through opportunity identification, area and business review, telephonic contact, and cold calling.
  2. Qualifying potential clients based on requirements such as volumes, distribution areas, current providers, and cargo types, then submitting these to the Sales Manager for consideration.
  3. Developing and maintaining knowledge of own and competitors' service offerings.
  4. Gathering market intelligence regarding freight service opportunities, competitor activities, and reports.
  5. Assessing customers' needs and demonstrating Triton’s services to suit their requirements, adding value to their business.
  6. Presenting formal business proposals.
  7. Negotiating prices and credit terms.
  8. Continuously improving marketing strategies.
  9. Achieving sales targets.
  10. Planning, organizing, following up, and effectively communicating progress to clients.
  11. Inputting work to optimize the operations department’s capability.
  12. Updating leads in PENTAGON system.
  13. Managing PENTAGON system and processes effectively.
  14. Handling client inquiries, queries, and problems, facilitating resolutions.
  15. Conducting weekly and monthly service call visits.
  16. Identifying and capitalizing on service or sales extension opportunities.
  17. Advising on rate increases and processing procedural changes.
  18. Building client relationships at all levels.
  19. Monitoring client activity.
  20. Ensuring sales information is detailed and accurate.
  21. Generating accurate quotes for all requirements.
  22. Preparing and submitting weekly new business reports.
  23. Monitoring credit applications and expediting approvals.
  24. Preparing proposals for Sales Manager’s approval.
  25. Ensuring measures are in place to guarantee customer satisfaction.
