RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Prospecting for new business by opportunity identification, area and business review, making telephonic contact and cold calling.
- Qualifying potential clients in terms of requirements (volumes, distribution areas, current providers, cargo types, etc.) and submitting these to the Sales Manager for consideration via a sales filter.
- Developing and updating knowledge of your own and competitors' service offerings.
- Gathering market intelligence regarding freight service opportunities, competitor activities, and reports.
- Determining customers’ needs and demonstrating Triton’s services to suit their requirements, adding value to their business.
- Formally presenting business proposals.
- Negotiating prices and credit terms.
- Continuously improving marketing strategies.
- Achieving sales targets.
- Planning, organizing, following up, and communicating progress effectively to clients.
- Inputting work to optimize the operations department’s capability.
- Updating leads in PENTAGON system.
- Managing PENTAGON system and processes effectively.
- Handling client inquiries, queries, and problems, and facilitating resolutions.
- Conducting monthly and weekly service call visitations.
- Identifying and capitalizing on service and sales extension opportunities.
- Advising on rate increases and processing procedural changes.
- Building client relationships at all levels.
- Monitoring client activity.
- Ensuring all sales information is detailed and accurate.
- Generating accurate quotes for all work requirements.
- Preparing and submitting weekly new business reports.
- Monitoring credit applications and expediting approval processes.
- Preparing proposals for Sales Manager’s approval.
- Ensuring measures are in place to guarantee customer satisfaction.
