Are you a finance professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for optimizing financial strategies? We are looking for an experienced and proactive Treasurer to join the team of one of South Africa's leading financial services companies on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting directly to the Treasury Manager, this role is critical to ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. As the Treasurer, you will be at the heart of financial monitoring efforts, overseeing accounts to ensure they are sufficiently prefunded and playing a key role in managing cash flow. Job Description :

As the Treasurer, your duties include the following :

1. Manage cash and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for payout partners and internal verticals
2. Assist in preparing short, medium, and long-term cash flow forecasts for payout partners, identifying potential funding gaps
3. Help manage surplus cash flows to maximize returns while minimizing associated risks
4. Analyze financial and operational risks to understand their nature and potential impact
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and payout partners
6. Support the Treasury Manager in implementing and monitoring financial risk management strategies
7. Oversee the administration of all treasury accounts with external providers and partners
8. Gain a comprehensive understanding of related processes and the interdependencies between teams, with a broad grasp of the underlying data structures
9. Assist the Treasury Manager in generating detailed financial reports
10. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, controls, and user guides
11. Collaborate effectively as a team player, ensuring team goals are met through strong cooperation
12. Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address issues and challenges
13. Demonstrate excellent personal time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
14. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with senior management and other stakeholders
15. Attend new product launch meetings, prepare minutes for treasury-related discussions, and ensure they are submitted to the Treasury Manager in a timely manner

Skills & Experience :
