A leading tire manufacturer is seeking a Tread Compound Process Development Engineer to lead activities related to new materials and processes in tire production. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree, strong knowledge in macromolecular chemistry, and experience in the rubber field. You will:
Lead activity in EMEA plant related to new material/ process technologies in mixing & material preparation area mainly related to tread compounds
Cooperate with material/ tire development during design and validation of material and process technologies mainly related to tread compounds
New process, new materials and new tire construction feasibility study in manufacturing plants (PSR and TBR)
Definition of process requirements or process upgrades in mixing and material preparation (PSR and TBR)
Cooperation with engineering function in definition of machinery specification and machine and process qualification
Cooperate in new Compounds formulae definition for optimization of performance and processability / productivity balance (PSR and TBR)
Release of new processes and new materials technologies in mass production
Quality optimization (variability reduction) and troubleshooting in mixing area
Qualifications & Experience Required
Previous experience in rubber field is nice to have
Relevant knowledge of macromolecular chemistry
Relevant knowledge of rheology
Relevant knowledge of rubber materials
Basic knowledge of rubber processing
Basic knowledge of tire performance
Very good MS Office package knowledge
Fluency in English
Spanish is a nice to have
Problem solving
