Travelling Agency Consultant

We are looking for a passionate travel agency consultant who will manage travel requirements made for individuals and businesses on holiday. The successful candidate will assist with tourism-related package tours and services on behalf of suppliers. Your goal is to ensure clients are loyal for future services and are satisfied.

Duties

1. Collect payments, book transportation, and make hotel reservations.
2. Work with clients to understand their needs, advising them on appropriate destinations, traveling dates, costs, accommodations, and modes of transportation.
3. Provide relevant details, publications, and brochures.
4. Sell and plan accommodations, insurance, transportation, and other related travel services.
5. Maintain client files and enter data into software.
6. Deal with occurring travel problems, complaints, or refunds.
7. Attend travel seminars to stay updated with tourism trends.
8. Network with tour operators.
9. Maintain financial and statistical records.
10. Prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages using promotional techniques.
11. Meet sales and profit targets.

Skills

1. Working experience proven as a travel consultant. Candidates without experience will be mentored and trained by our excellent team.
2. Strong commercial awareness and sales skills.
3. Knowledgeable of GDS systems, e-traveling, and computer reservations systems.
4. Fluent in English; multilingual is an added advantage.
5. Ability to communicate, interact, and negotiate effectively.
6. Grade 12 diploma, degree in travel, hospitality, business relevant field, or tourism.
