Job description

Outbound Travel company with offices based in JHB / Cape Town & Durban is looking for experienced Travel Advisors to provide world-class service and effectively manage and coordinate the selling and booking of HOLIDAY / LEISURE PACKAGES to customers & agents, in order to achieve personal and company sales targets, in line with the company strategy and departmental and regional goals.

Duties:
  1. Offer professional travel advice and provide accurate and creative quotations to customers, discussing client requirements either via telephone or over email and advising on suitable options in line with customer requests and striving to exceed expectations.
  2. Successful achievement of personal sale targets by actively closing the sale and converting quotations to bookings.
  3. Effective management of booking administration processes including planning and preparation of cost itineraries, making flight, accommodation and related bookings, actioning amendments and cancellations, and adhering to payment processes.
  4. Maintain high levels of quality and productivity by managing workload and meeting deadlines.
  5. Ensure processes are followed to reduce errors and losses and take pride in your quality of work – zero tolerance of errors and losses to protect company margin.
  6. Offer world-class service and develop a culture that strives to exceed service expectations.
  7. Supply advice and recommendations on product and price and recommend alternatives if unable to confirm and upsell and switch sell to secure bookings.
  8. Quotations to be professionally and accurately handled with all outgoing quotes / emails / correspondence checked with scrutiny of figures, spelling, grammar, and language usage prior to releasing.
  9. Development and maintenance of client / customer relationships – excellent communication and customer relations. Creation of a client profile database and new business acquisitions.
  10. Keep abreast with product updates and business processes and systems.
Requirements:
  1. Grade 12
  2. Fully computer literate
  3. Experience in outbound Leisure travel
  4. Excellent product experience within South Africa, Mauritius, Thailand, Bali, Zanzibar, and Mozambique, holiday packages, cruising, tours.
