Job summary

Gauteng Treasury in Johannesburg seeks a Transversal Sourcing administrator to deliver sourcing services, improve tender processes, and ensure contract awards meet SLA. The role focuses on enhancing BBBEE procurement spends and contract visibility in SRM/SAP R3.

The ideal candidate has a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Business Management, Purchasing, SCM, or Procurement Management, with 3-5 years’ relevant experience and strong knowledge of South African procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Three-year tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Business Management/ Purchasing/ SCM/ Procurement Management.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Transversal Sourcing as an administrator in procurement and/or supply chain managerial position.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices including sourcing strategies.
• Experience in vendor management and BBBEE /SMME development.
• Experience and understanding of the South African market.

Responsibilities

• Provide Transversal Sourcing services to the Gauteng Provincial Government.
• Improve tender process and reduce turnaround times from 120-90 days.
• Finalise award of contract within agreed SLA.
• Contract Management: Manage contract to client satisfaction and increase customer satisfaction and submission of status report.
• Obtain minimum satisfaction level form customer service.
• Facilitate that the contract is visible on the system (SRM & /SAP R3).
• Increase BBBEE preferential procurement spends from 60% to 70%.
