Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Transportation Planner to join our Port Elizabeth team. The role focuses on optimizing the company’s transport network, planning, scheduling, and coordinating all transport activities to reduce costs and transit times.

You will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to drive operational success in the Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in transportation planning, strong analytical skills, and experience with TMS and route

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or similar role.
• Proficiency in TMS and route optimization software.
• Strong understanding of transport modes, carrier operations and supply chain principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation plans daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Optimize routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize mileage.
