Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a prominent engineering consultancy based in Bloemfontein , is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to contribute to the planning, design, and implementation of transportation infrastructure projects. You will be instrumental in developing efficient and safe transportation systems, including roads, highways, and public transit networks, for the Free State province and beyond. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid understanding of traffic engineering principles, modeling software, and project management. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a hybrid model, engaging with clients, government authorities, and project teams to deliver sustainable and effective transportation solutions that improve mobility and connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic studies, analyze traffic data, and develop traffic management plans.
• Design transportation infrastructure, including road alignments, intersection improvements, and public transport facilities.
• Prepare traffic impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation measures.
• Develop project scope, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation engineering projects.
• Oversee the design review process and provide technical guidance during construction phases.

Requirements
