Purpose of Position :

• To manage and supervise the courier activities to ensure sufficient and timely service delivery and to assist the Area Manager with performing operational functioning and logistical processes.

Requirements :

• Certificate: Supervision
• Certificate or Diploma: Transport Management
• Grade 12 (Required)
• Grade 12 with Mathematics
• Valid South African driver's licence (Code EB)

Required Experience :

• Experience as Dispatch Controller
• Basic Vehicle Maintenance
• Computer / IT Specifications and available technology
• Fleet Management System
• Knowledge of Google and Google Mail
• HR and IR policies and procedures
• Meditech system
• MS Excel
• MS Word
• National Traffic Rules and Regulations
• Relevant Geographical Area
• Road Accident Fund
• Transport related procedures and processes
• Transport related software (ICCS and CCS)
• Laboratory transport experience
• Senior and/or supervisory or managerial experience

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist Area Manager with operational tasks to ensure the effective functioning of the transport department
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath
• Manage the departmental budget to control expenses and ensure correct allocation of funds
• Monitor and arrange the maintenance of the vehicles to ensure vehicles are timeously serviced
• Monitor and supervise transport staff to ensure that set targets are achieved
