Job summary

Greys Recruitment in South Africa seeks an experienced transport operations manager to oversee delivery operations, driver and vehicle management, cost control and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

You will lead large, multidisciplinary teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safe, efficient, on-time performance while aligning with company goals.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years' management experience within transport, warehousing, distribution, QSR or FMCG.
• Experience in shift management.
• Experience in people management.
• Experience in disciplinary enquiries.
• Health & Safety management.
• Contingency planning.
• Continuous improvement and best-practice implementation.
• Multi-temperature transport operations.
• Complex, multi-site and multi-disciplinary environments.
• Experience managing large operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in an organisation with 400+ employees will be advantageous.
• Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics.
• Tertiary qualification in Transport or a related field is mandatory.
• Honours qualification would be advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy is required, including: MS Office – particularly Advanced Excel; PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and MS Project; Advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience; Accounting software experience; Experience with Microsoft Great Plains will be advantageous.
