Transport Controller & Semi-Skilled Diesel Mechanic (Night Shift)

Our client, a blue chip Logistics company based in Wadeville (East Rand), has the following permanent vacancy:

Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Must be a SA Citizen
3. Mechanical / Technical background (No official qualification required, but any qualifications will be an advantage)

Note: We are not looking for a qualified mechanic. Must be able to work on trucks & trailers. This is not an office-bound position.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing light mechanical duties
• Providing instructions and following up with night shift drivers regarding vehicle loading and customer updates
• Completing the company's POD documentation
• Assisting the Compliance department with their functions
• Stock control – maintaining minimum stock levels on site

Additional requirements:

• Own reliable transport

This is a night shift position from 17:00 – 05:00, Monday to Thursday, and Friday from 17:00 until 00:00. Every second weekend, work from 17:00 until 23:00 (Saturday & Sunday). The rest of the time, standby on the telephone.
