BDO has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced Transfer Pricing Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager.
Reporting as part of the national Transfer Pricing and International Tax team, you will be responsible for:
- Project involvement: Act as a point of contact within the firm for the client together with the director. This includes responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress, and maintaining regular contact. Manage advisory engagements under the supervision of the director, such as setting transfer pricing strategies or advising foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their operations in the region. Manage compliance documentation engagements, including country-by-country reporting, master files, and local files. Manage accrual reviews and due diligences under the supervision of the director. Draft and manage proposals for engagements, considering client expectations. Develop and pursue creative strategies using the latest technologies available or to be programmed with the technology department. Manage billings and cash collection within the firm's criteria. Engage regularly with transfer pricing, tax planning, and complex tax issues in conjunction with directors. Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and inform clients/directors of overruns.
- Planning and team management: Plan staff assignments to ensure a balanced experience. Adhere to BDO's quality control procedures, including second director reviews. Identify risks, technical matters, and selling opportunities to the director, exercising judgment within set parameters. Support directors on client matters and assist in managing clients and the team, including recruitment and staff appraisal support. Work as part of the management team within the national transfer pricing and international tax team, supporting other tax managers/directors and the broader Tax team. Participate actively in team management through meetings and social functions. Provide training and feedback to junior staff, supporting their development. Counsel, appraise, develop, and motivate staff as appropriate.
- Sales and marketing: Recognize and develop business and sales opportunities with director support. Participate in bids and proposals for new work. Leverage marketing and PR opportunities. Build and maintain a network of contacts internally and externally.
- Communication and representation: Develop and maintain contact with clients at senior levels and other relevant contacts. Act as liaison between clients and other service groups within BDO. Contribute to internal training courses. Consult with colleagues and directors on technical and risk matters.
