Job description

To ensure that deals are booked correctly and that the correct processes are followed.

  1. Attend DCFs for all new deals. Comment on Legal Agreements and ensure that the legal agreements can be operationalized. Engage with the Deal Team and the TM on the deal, in order to ensure that deal intention is understood and operationally, Transaction Management can provide the support required to implement the deal and conduct the ongoing maintenance required.
  2. Ensure all approvals are done in line with required supporting documentation and audit requirements. Make sure processes are followed and backdated approval is obtained where necessary. New Deal implementation is approved according to Legals and the DCF.
  3. Ensure that deals are booked accurately and holistically.
  4. Identify training needs and knowledge gaps within the team. These may be evident from approvals and deal implementation.
  5. Initiate strategic dialogue to build professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to listen, advise, influence, negotiate and present at all levels.
  6. Lead and facilitate difficult conflict situations into consensual agreements. Integrate opinions and information provided by various sources to make strategic decisions.
  7. Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of different audiences.
  8. Find opportunities to leverage relationships and promote knowledge sharing, ideas, and insights.
  9. Represent the organisation on relevant bodies.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with key industry players to position the brand favorably and provide direction to the industry.
