Responsibilities
  1. Drive, coordinate, and deliver functional learning & development programs.
  2. Conduct needs analysis, facilitate, and evaluate learning interventions to build organizational development capacity.
  3. Develop, implement, and facilitate internal & external training interventions and build sound relations.
  4. Plan, implement, coordinate, and report on learning and development interventions.
Induction
  • Conduct full HR induction for all new employees.
  • Draft, implement, and execute orientation plans for new employees.
  • Regularly update induction slides according to business changes.
Training Administration
  • Develop, implement, and manage a Skills Development Strategy aligned with organizational needs.
  • Develop and manage a Skills Database in conjunction with payroll to capture qualifications.
  • Advise employees and management on scheduled skills development interventions.
  • Monitor, manage, and administer all external and internal training.
  • Organize training providers and update vendor records.
  • Plan and book training sessions, send calendar invites, and follow up.
  • Maintain the training room and supplies.
  • Identify training needs and include them in the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP).
  • Capture training attendance, certificates, and develop reports.
Skills Development and Training
  • Manage training manuals for learnerships.
  • Oversee succession and mentorship plans.
  • Locate NQF-accredited institutions for interventions.
  • Manage grant claiming processes and compile reports for MERSETA.
  • Update employee profiles and learner management systems.
  • Maintain learnership data and ensure compliance with grants.
  • Prepare training and development budgets.
Versatility Matrix
  • Regularly review and update the Versatility Matrix and related systems.
Bursary and Study Assistance
  • Initiate and manage bursary and study assistance programs.
  • Provide career counseling and liaise with tertiary institutions.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure timely payments.
Finance
  • Manage training-related purchase orders and invoices.
Employment Equity
  • Maintain Skills Development Data for Employment Equity reporting.
  • Participate in Skills Development planning and audits.
