Job Purpose

Manage and coordinate the full event cycle for all internal and external events hosted at Discovery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising and planning logistics such as facility selection, menu planning, transportation arrangements, and audio/visual equipment for company meetings, special events, and conferences.
  • Ensuring all internal protocols related to health and safety, branding, and other standards are followed.
  • Handling communication with other departments and business areas, including querying, follow-up, and feedback regarding events and conferences.
  • Managing the event day operations from setup to strike, including equipment management.
  • Conducting furniture and equipment checks before and after events.
  • Managing relationships with external suppliers and venue clients.
  • Submitting analytical data post-event as required.
  • Overseeing the full budget for each event.

Job / Role Requirements

Work Experience

Required

  • At least 2 years of experience in event management or relationship management.

Preferred

  • Project management experience.

Education / Qualifications / Accreditations with Professional Body

Required

  • Degree or diploma in Event Management.
