Overview

Job Title: Trainer Assessor - Hospitality

Salary: £ 14,453 - £ 15,334 pro rated (FTE £29,710 - £31,520 annually)

Location: Waterfront

Hours and Weeks per Year: 18 hours / 52 weeks

Closing Date: 05/10/2025

Proposed Interview Date: tbc

About the Role

In the role of Trainer-Assessor you will predominantly be based at Waterfront and your focus will be on student recruitment, initial signups, assessment tracking, progress, and employer links. You will recruit, train and assess apprentices in the Hospitality industry, primarily on employers' premises. You will act as the ambassador for the college at all times, particularly in the employer\'s workplace. The post also involves contributing to the marketing, development, delivery, assessment and evaluation of programmes to meet market needs and contractual targets and performance criteria.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train and assess apprentices in the Hospitality industry, primarily on employers\' premises.
  • Act as the college ambassador at the employer\'s workplace.
  • Contribute to marketing, development, delivery, assessment and evaluation of programmes to meet market needs and targets.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g., GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) or demonstrate equivalent ability.
  • L3 Assessor qualification (or willingness and ability to work towards in an agreed timescale).
  • Demonstrable experience in learner assessment in the workplace and employer liaison.
  • Knowledge and experience of apprenticeship standards, with relevant industrial experience.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills; ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and apprentice tracking software.
  • Full driving licence and use of car insured for business use OR mobility suitable to the duties of the post.
