PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Trainee Store Manager to lead our team and drive the success of our Econofoods Retail Store. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, delivering exceptional customer service, and effectively managing store operations. The Store Manager will be responsible for all operational aspects of the store, as well as empowering and leading the team to reach and exceed business objectives. Key responsibilities include reducing risk and stock losses, ensuring store standards, and fostering a positive team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive and promote sales through world-class customer service.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards at all times.
• Ensure store standards are met by following merchandising standards, managing stock, and optimizing product presentation and pricing.
• Assist in stock receiving, stock counts, managing expiry dates, and stock condition.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team while supporting the company's Ho Hola Culture.
• Handle cash management, including preparing floats, daily banking, and cashier support.
• Train, coach, and evaluate team members' performance.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are maintained.
• Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Oversee store operations, including opening, closing, and security procedures.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
