Job summary

Cashbuild Limited in Bethal, Mpumalanga, is seeking a Trainee Manager (External Applications Only) to support the Store Manager in safeguarding market share and profitability. You will drive strategic initiatives, customer service excellence, and stock control while developing leadership and administrative skills.

The role requires Grade 12, two years of retail management experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong HR and accounting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 (two) years retail management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to develop, implement and manage a Store Business Plan for the Store ensuring it is aligned with the overall Company strategy and strategic initiatives as approved by the Divisional Manager and Operations Manager from time to time
• Grow and Protect Market Share
• Assist the Store Manager to achieve growth in markets share in your Store as defined in the strategy plan
• Assist the Store Manager to achieve sales budgets and growth objectives by Category
• Assist the Store Manager to promote customer loyalty programmes (e.g. VIC, charge cards, etc)
• Assist the Store Manager to manage the distribution of advertising material to ensure maximum efficiency
• Assist the Store Manager to develop action plans proactively to protect your market where you trade when competitors enter the market
• Customer Service: implement and monitor the Customer Service strategy and maintain Customer Audits above 95%
• Asset Control: Stock: manage shrinkage, PIC process, and stock take
• Asset Control: Cash: manage Debtors, Petty Cash and daily Banking
• Asset Control: Fixed Assets: maintenance of racking, signage, IT Equipment and Safe
• Human Resource Management: recruit and induct employees, training and succession planning
• Store Safety (OHSA) Standards: ensure safety compliance and incident reporting
