The Trainee Depot Manager will be responsible for leading and managing high-performing depot teams across the coastal region, ensuring proper warehouse management controls and information systems to support profitable sales growth. The role involves managing and driving the implementation of bakery sales plans and targets to grow and optimize profitable sales margins in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager & Regional Bakeries Executive.

Qualification Requirements

  • Business related degree/ equivalent qualification – Desirable
  • Sales or Marketing related qualification - Desirable
  • Logistics or Supply chain management diploma or equivalent – Desirable

Experience Requirements

  • Sales Manager role – 2-3 years – Desirable
  • Distribution management – 2-3 years – Essential
  • FMCG Working experience 1-2 years – Essential

Key Outputs

  • Focus on personal and professional development, including participation in relevant programs, developing an IDP, and building a network of relationships.
  • Drive profitable and cost-effective operations, ensuring adherence to budgets, SOPs, and controls, reviewing financial and performance data, and identifying areas for cost reduction and improvement.
  • Maintain and grow profitable volume through regional sales execution, including identifying opportunities, activating new business, and ensuring adherence to pricing strategies.
  • Ensure a 95% service level for OTIF deliveries by optimizing warehouse operations, including stock flow, process management, and housekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with Premier Food Safety standards and policies through proper operational controls, hygiene practices, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the OHS Act and health and safety policies, including regular meetings, monitoring, and risk management.
  • Create a high-performing depot team through effective performance management, talent management, training, coaching, and industrial relations.
