Minimum Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Preferably NQF 3 Bakery qualification
  • Experience as a Baker / Bakery Supervisor
  • Minimum of 3 years Baker experience
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
  • Position requires transferability between stores

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandising management and quality checks
  • Executing plano guide and handling products per SOP
  • Producing products according to recipes
  • Preparing the department for trade
  • Managing stock, waste, and hygiene standards
  • Monitoring promotional activities
  • Maintaining cleanliness and stock rotation
Food Safety & Hygiene
  • Maintaining hygiene and housekeeping standards
  • Monitoring food safety and health standards
  • Implementing cleaning schedules and recording checklists
Customer Service Management
  • Responding to customer requests and queries
  • Ensuring equipment and standards are maintained
Staff Management
  • Communicating with staff and setting targets
  • Handling non-compliance issues
  • Attending regional meetings and coaching staff
Administration & Systems
  • Maintaining equipment and general standards
  • Monitoring waste and turnover
  • Managing stock levels using SAP and Excel
  • Processing IDTs and waste
  • Regularly checking electronic communications
