Job description

Trainee Agents to join the Kazang – Micro Merchant team in Durban.

Terms & Outline

  • 3- 6-month training program to start in June 2025
  • Financial support: a financial grant will be provided for the 3-6 month training period to assist with operational costs (e.g. travel, cellphone costs etc.)
  • Enterprise registration: Support will be provided to assist with registration of agent’s company with CIPC (where applicable)
  • Transport and cellphone: The Trainee agent is expected to provide their own transport and cellphone

The Trainee Agent will play a crucial role in executing sales activities and delivering our products and services to customers. You will be the face of Kazang, providing excellent customer service and promoting our brand. You will be responsible for promoting sales and marketing initiatives to increase our customer base.

Key Responsibilities and what a typical day will look like for you:

  • Promote and sell Kazang products and services to customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer concerns or complaints.
  • Communicate and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Promote sales and marketing initiatives to increase the customer base.
  • Keep up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Complete daily reports and submit to management.

  • Relevant Matric diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in sales, retail, or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be customer-focused and service oriented.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Proficient in English, and other South African official languages, or Somali, or Ethiopian.
