Job description

This is the perfect opportunity for a B Com graduate to start CIMA / SAIPA articles in Pretoria East! We require academically strong graduates in B Com Accounting or B Com Management Accounting in a firm that offers a comfortable and friendly working environment with highly competitive remuneration.

Candidates will join a structured training programme and assist in performing audits, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while gaining practical experience toward qualifying as a Chartered Accountant,

Professional Accountant or Management Accountant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (SUMMARY) :

In line with CIMA / SAIPA / SAICA required outcomes)

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
  • Perform audits and assurance services (SAICA)
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare and review tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations.
  • Collaborate with senior and team members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

REQUIREMENTS : CIMA :

  • Professional Qualification : Must have aspirations of
  • becoming CIMA-certified.
  • Experience : No work experience required.
  • Education : Accounting or finance degree complete or in progress. Must have had audit as a subject.

SAIPA :

  • Professional Qualification : Must have aspirations of becoming a PA(SA).
  • Experience : No work experience required.
  • Education : Accounting or finance degree complete or in progress. Must have had audit as a subject.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Knowledge : Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards (e.g., ISA, IFRS for SME’s), and regulatory requirements.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in audit software (Caseware) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is advantageous.

Transport : Must have own reliable vehicle (for occasional client visits).

Languages : Prefer Afrikaans home language (clients and company culture).

Other Requirements : Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate leadership qualities.

SAIPA : R14 000 CTC p / m – R18 000 CTC p / m

The final remuneration package will be based on market standards, considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
