Job summary

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve in the Western Cape invites a skilled Trails Guide to join our conservation-minded team. You will lead guests on professional safaris, sharing expert knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems while ensuring authentic wilderness experiences.

We seek candidates with Field Guide (Level 2) and Full Trails Guide qualifications, firearm competency, a valid driver’s license, and a First Aid certificate, with 4–10 years’ guiding experience.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Western Cape, guiding visitors through a diverse ecosystem while fostering a deep appreciation for conservation.

What You'll Do:

• Lead guests on professional guided safaris, sharing your specialist knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service, ensuring memorable and authentic experiences
• Uphold ethical standards and show sensitivity in all interactions within the bush environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote conservation awareness and responsible tourism

Requirements:

• Field Guide (Level 2) certification and a Full Trails Guide qualification
• Firearm competency and a valid driver's license
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Between 4 and 10 years of relevant guiding experience

Familiarity with the following:

• Endangered wildlife and ecosystem conservation
• Bush safety procedures and protocols
