Job summary

NB Consulting’s client, a leading conservation-focused organization in a major private nature reserve in the Western Cape, seeks a dedicated Trails Guide to join their team. You’ll guide guests through diverse ecosystems, sharing knowledge of flora, fauna, and conservation, and uphold the highest standards of guest service in a bush setting.

Requirements include Field Guide Level 2, Full Trails Guide qualification, First Aid, firearm competency, and a valid driver’s license, with 4–10 years

Qualifications

• Field Guide Level 2 certification and Full Trails Guide qualification are required.
• Valid First Aid Certificate is mandatory.
• Firearm competency and a valid driver's license are required.
• 4–10 years of guiding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead guests on professional guided safaris, sharing local flora and fauna knowledge.
• Maintain high standards of guest service and ensure memorable experiences.

Our client, a leading conservation-focused organization within one of the country's largest privately-owned nature reserves, is looking for a dedicated Trails Guide to join their team. What You’ll Do:

• Lead guests on professional guided safaris, sharing your specialist knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service, ensuring memorable and authentic experiences
• Uphold ethical standards and show sensitivity in all interactions within the bush environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote conservation awareness and responsible tourism

Requirements:

• Field Guide (Level 2) certification and a Full Trails Guide qualification
• Firearm competency and a valid driver's license
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Between 4 and 10 years of relevant guiding experience

Familiarity with the following:

• Endangered wildlife and ecosystem conservation
• Bush safety procedures and protocols
