Job summary

The Bonafide Human Capital is seeking a qualified Operations Supervisor for the Tshwane/Mpumalanga Transport Operations unit. The role focuses on supervising the operations of a large transport company, ensuring traffic control, service monitoring, and stakeholder liaison.

The incumbent will work six days a week, may require long irregular hours and travel to operational areas, and handle IR issues as part of people management and industrial relations responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent academic qualification.
• Tertiary qualification in Road Transport Management or equivalent.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• At least 5 years’ experience in supervising the operations of a large transport company.
• Experience in handling IR issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control all traffic, departmental and operational functions.
• Monitor service through auditing of operations of a large transport company.
• Inter-departmental co-ordination and communication.
• Market services through liaising with stakeholders and other official bodies.
• Analyze traffic operational statistics on a daily basis.
• Ensure correct implementation of agreed changes to operation.
• Ensure continuous market research.
• Monitor performance of budget (trends interpretation).
• Control material resources efficiently.
• Monitor subordinates job performance.
