Traffic Manager

Location: Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa

About The Role

As Traffic Manager, you will play a pivotal role within our creative function for one of our exciting clients in the FMCG industry. In this fast-paced environment, you will manage resources effectively to support monthly deliverables across nine different brands within a team of 14, comprising both online and in-office staff, with typical turnaround times of 48 hours from brief to delivery.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Strategically manage resource scheduling to optimise studio efficiency and eliminate downtime
  • Review and interrogate all design briefs before the studio assignment, ensuring completeness and Creative Lead approval
  • Oversee amendments and final file requests into the studio workflow
  • Participate in daily production meetings alongside the Content Team Lead/Account Director and the Creative Lead
  • Collaborate with team leadership to plan and prioritise work, especially during peak periods
  • Provide timely updates on project status changes or deadline adjustments
  • Proactively identify and resolve resource conflicts before they impact delivery
  • Generate utilisation reports and analytics for management review
  • Handle client image requests efficiently and professionally
What You Need To Be Great In This Role
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven experience managing creative resources in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining quality under pressure
  • Strong understanding of agency and account management processes
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
  • 4+ years of relevant traffic/resource management experience across print, motion graphics, web design, artwork and social media
  • Experience in artwork, design, creative or integrated marketing sectors
  • Familiarity with resource management systems
  • A collaborative spirit who encourages others and demonstrates leadership
  • Someone who challenges convention by exploring innovative processes and solutions
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, ready to learn key business skills
