Job description

Position:
Forklift Mechanic – Engineering Department. Neave Township PE

Salary:
R190/hour plus Medical Aid and Pension.
Paid in line with MIBCO and overtime will be required as and when the need arises (Standby every 2nd week).

Educational & Training Requirements:

  1. Grade 12/N2 or equivalent
  2. Qualified trade tested forklift or diesel or motor mechanic

Experience Required:

  1. Must have a minimum of 4/5 years’ experience in a similar field with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience pertaining to forklifts
  2. General working knowledge of auto electrical systems (ignition, starting, charging, illumination)

Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

  1. Complete 100% schedules correctly and return on time
  2. Generic daily checks to be done on all forklifts
  3. Major breakdowns to be reported internally and with Toyota
  4. Weekly reports on forklifts
  5. Two quotes to be obtained prior to work being done
  6. Work place to be kept neat and tidy
  7. Must have the correct tools and tools must be in good condition
  8. Adhere to OHS Act and guidelines
  9. Any other reasonable request
