Job summary

Oxyon Human Capital Solutions Pty Ltd in partnership with a well-established manufacturing organisation is seeking a Trade-Tested Fitter to join the maintenance team.

You will maintain, repair and optimise conveyors, motors and mechanical equipment, diagnose faults to minimise downtime, service hydraulic systems, perform welding and fabrication, read drawings, keep records and uphold safety and quality standards in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Trade-Tested Fitter qualification is required.
• Experience in a plastic manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and service conveyors, motors and mechanical production equipment.
• Diagnose faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain hydraulic systems and fix leaks.
• Carry out preventative maintenance.
• Perform welding, fabrication and modifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Keep maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure safety, quality and operational standards.
• Assist with machinery installations and improvements.
• Maintain housekeeping in maintenance areas.
