Job description


KWV a renowned South African brand and industry leader in the production of world-class wines, and other spirits has a permanent vacancy for aTrade Marketing Specialist based in Paarl.




  • Reporting to:Customer Marketing Manager
  • Department:Customer Marketing
  • Division: Commercial
  • Location: Paarl

Purpose:


  • The planning, coordination and execution of trade related brand marketing campaigns on various brands within the KWV portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop national and regional promotions with assigned brands
  • Facilitate and coordinate communication between various stakeholders
  • Develop, order and manage promotional material (POS) as well as price
  • Conduct in-trade assessments
  • Measure the effectiveness or promotions
  • Leverage internal and external BOP
  • Develop an integrated promotional calendar across brands
  • Align the promotional calendar with Key account calendar across brands
  • Presentation of draft plans to Key Accounts and Sales
  • Measure, track and report on implementation progress vs target
  • Attend ad hoc promotions to understand sales requirements & competitors
  • Manage Point of Sale items

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:


  • Grade 12 plus a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales/Business Administration/Marketing
  • 5 Years relevant experience in Sales, marketing or trade marketing environment
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Attention to detail and sound administrative skills
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in English
  • Relationship Management abilities
  • Computer literate on an advanced level (Microsoft, Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Valid driver license with own vehicle
