We're on the lookout for a reliable and enthusiastic Trades Assistant to support our workshop and field service teams.
This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic to build their career in the industrial equipment rental sector.
The Role As a Trades Assistant, you'll work closely with our Mechanical Fitters and Service Technicians to help maintain, prepare, mobilise and potentially operate rental equipment within your competency.
No two days are the same – from cleaning gear and organising parts to assisting in basic repairs, it's varied, active role.
Training opportunities to support your development as a valuable member of our mech services team.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, servicing, and maintenance of equipment Clean, inspect, and load / unload gear for jobs Complete workshop and yard organisation Support the team with tooling, parts, and general mechanical duties Follow safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, compliant workspace About You Previous experience in a mechanical, construction, or industrial environment is desirable A positive, team-oriented attitude Good physical fitness and willingness to work in a hands-on role Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) Driver's licence Safety-conscious and reliable What's On Offer Stable, full-time work in a small supportive team Great exposure to mechanical equipment and workshop operations Opportunities to develop new skills and grow in the business Competitive pay + training and PPE provided Modern facility and well-maintained equipment If this sounds like you or you are interested, we encourage you to apply!
