Job description

Senwes Equipment seeks a Tractor Technician responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling farm machinery and vehicles.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

1. Perform electronic and mechanical diagnostic tests on tractors to identify faults and issues.
2. Repair or replace faulty parts, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and hydraulic systems.
3. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, filters, and belts, lubricating parts, and adjusting engine components.
4. Perform additional duties and special projects as needed or directed.
5. Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities performed on each tractor.
6. Communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance required on their equipment.
7. Provide recommendations for regular maintenance and inspections to prevent future breakdowns and advise on safe and effective tractor operation.
8. Guide on identifying and responding to potential problems.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned, including inventory management, workshop organization, and training new technicians.
10. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated with new technologies and industry trends.
