We are assisting our client with and exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our clients TOOLMAKER APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME. This structured training program will provide hands-on experience in tool and die making, CNC machining, and mould manufacturing, with exposure to Autodesk Fusion and SCam for CAD/CAM programming. Apprentices will work under the guidance of experienced professionals to develop the technical skills required for a successful career in precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of injection and blow moulds, dies, jigs, and tooling.
Operate and learn to program CNC milling, lathes, grinding, and EDM machines.
Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
Support toolmakers in fitting, assembling, and testing tools to meet required tolerances.
Learn about materials, machining processes, and quality control standards.
Participate in classroom and practical training as part of the apprenticeship program.
Follow health and safety guidelines in the workplace.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification: Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science OR N3 Engineering Studies.
Passion for engineering, machining, and precision manufacturing.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and complete the trade test at the end of the apprenticeship.
