Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolmaker to join their Isando-based operations. This is a hands-on, critical role focused on maintaining moulds, manufacturing high-precision components, and supporting our continued innovation in plastics packaging.

Minimum Qualifying Criteria :
- Grade 12 / N2 minimum
- Trade Tested Tool, Jig, and Die Maker (MERSETA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Toolmaker in the manufacturing industry
Technical Competencies :
Proficient in operating and maintaining all major toolroom machineryStrong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilitiesSound understanding of technical drawings and specificationsExperience with extrusion blow moulding, injection, and stretch blow moulding machineryFamiliarity with plastic processing techniques is highly advantageousSoft Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communicationHigh level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal effectivenessStrong time management and organisational abilitiesRoles and Responsibilities :
Toolroom Operations
Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and related machinery safely and efficientlyManufacture and repair moulds, machine components, and related tooling to exact specificationsConduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and liaise with management to resolve technical discrepanciesMould & Component Maintenance
Interpret technical drawings and ensure production aligns with design requirementsAssess tooling from production and initiate maintenance work ordersMaintain orderly, safe, and efficient toolroom conditionsReporting & Inventory Control
Maintain records, tool inventories, and ensure optimal availability of machining toolsReport performance updates in line with departmental standardsHealth, Safety & Quality Compliance
Adhere to health and safety protocols and GMP standardsReport incidents, hazards, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of work areasComply with Bowler Plastics' Food Safety Management System (FSSC) and related principlesContinuous Improvement & Development
Remain current with new technologies, tools, and industry standardsDemonstrate leadership, teamwork, and strong communication with peers and managementServe as a role model in quality, professionalism, and technical expertiseHow to Apply :
