Job description

Job Responsibilities:

Manufacture, repair, and maintain a range of tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, and gauges used in automotive production
Work from detailed technical drawings and CAD files to tight tolerances
Operate manual and CNC machines
Troubleshoot and refurbish tools for metal stamping, plastic injection, or high-volume automated production lines
Support new tooling launches and modifications for model changes
Ensure all tooling meets quality, safety, and dimensional accuracy standards
Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to resolve tooling issues and optimize performance

Job Requirements:

Matric
Qualified Toolmaker trade
Proven experience as a Toolmaker in an automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (GD&T)
Hands-on experience with manual and CNC machinery
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
