A leading automotive tool and die manufacturer is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their Toolroom Department in East London. The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in an automotive environment, and will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining tools, jigs, and dies. This full-time role requires shift work and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Toolmaker in an automotive environment.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in tool, jig, and die repair.
  • Must be prepared to work shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying tools, jigs, and dies.
  • Ensuring all work meets customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Work on large skin panels and structural parts.
  • Handle press breakdowns efficiently.

Exciting Opportunity: Toolmaker. A leading automotive tool and die manufacturer is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their Toolroom Department in Berlin. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work in a dynamic automotive environment.

Location: Berlin

Employment Type: Full-time, Shift Work

Role

The Toolmaker will report directly to the Toolroom Team Leader and be responsible for:

  • Manufacturing, repairing, maintaining, and modifying tools, jigs, and dies.
  • Ensuring all work meets customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Work on large skin panels and structural parts.
  • Handle press breakdowns efficiently.
  • Conduct tool setting and maintenance on draw dies.
  • Perform welding and repairs as required.
  • Operate and maintain tools on press lines ranging from 2000 to 6000 tons.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret tool parts and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and inspection skills.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in work.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 and NQF Level 5 qualification.
