Job summary

Bay Recruit in Pretoria is seeking an experienced Tool Room Supervisor to lead daily tooling operations in a manufacturing environment. You will oversee maintenance of injection moulds, drive improvements, ensure quality and safety standards, and liaise with production and suppliers. The ideal candidate has a degree or diploma in engineering or a Tool & Die qualification, with 5 years' manufacturing experience, strong communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in engineering or equivalent trade qualification in Tool & Die / Millwright.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive.
• Experience with project management and improving production efficiency.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Tool Room staff and allocate daily tasks.
• Manage production tooling and ensure quality and cost targets are met.
• Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance of injection moulds.
• Inspect moulds for wear, damage and dimensional accuracy.
• Liaise with production, quality teams and tool suppliers.
• Drive tooling/process improvements and minimise production downtime.
• Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Monitor tool room performance, maintenance and downtime reporting.
