Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, is a world-class producer of chrome ore.

The successful applicant will report to the Miner or nominee.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate.
• Code 08 (B) Driver’s Licence.

EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):

• Completion of a relevant, approved training programme.
• 3 months practical experience as a Drill Rig Operator / LHD Operator / Roofbolter Operator in a mining environment.

DUTIES (including but not limited to):

• Assist rig/bolter operators with their tasks, including setting up machines, installing pumps, lifter tubes, and coiling/uncoiling trailing cables. Fully licensed to operate TMM. Relieve operators in their absence.
• Operate the Roofbolter to meet production targets. Control and monitor machinery such as Atlas, Sandvik, Boart Roofbolters, and report deviations to the supervisor.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections of machines and components to ensure smooth production flow.
• Follow lock-out procedures for faulty equipment, record failure times, and document machine locations.
• Perform minor maintenance like greasing and changing consumables, and report larger issues to artisans, adhering to manufacturer and safety standards.
