A mining company in Brakpan is looking for a TMM Engineering Supervisor. This role involves implementing maintenance strategies and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Artisan.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Drill Rig and Roof Bolter.
  • South African Driver’s License (Code 8-10) is essential.
  • South African Citizenship required.
  • Clear Criminal Record.

Responsibilities

Job Specification

  • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade Certificate recognized by the MQA
  • Maintenance Supervisor Certificate / TMM Foreman Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Artisan, with excellent safety and production results
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Drill Rig and Roof Bolter
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, safety, health, and environmental standards
  • Good SHEQ and mining logistics knowledge
  • Knowledge of M&A equipment
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Relevant computer skills and basic report writing skills
  • South African Driver’s License (Code 8-10) is essential
  • South African Citizenship
  • Clear Criminal Record

Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor maintenance strategies for equipment

  • Monitor equipment performance through trend analysis and rectify deviations
  • Recommend system redesigns to improve maintenance and safety
  • Manage projects for continuous improvement
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization
  • Conduct daily planned task observations
  • Order materials and equipment
  • Maintain proper equipment condition
  • Ensure materials and equipment are used appropriately
  • Reclaim and reuse equipment when possible
  • Implement systems and ensure compliance with audits
  • Perform work according to standards and specifications
