Job summary

Recruitify_HR is seeking a Tinting Technician for the Upington branch in the Western Cape. The role involves colour matching and tinting base colours, decanting tinted products, and preparing brush out cards. You will maintain the tinting area, assist customers, and follow tinting protocols.

Requirements include Grade 12 with Maths, 2–3 years of colour matching experience, and bilingual English/Afrikaans with strong communication skills. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07h30–17h00.

Responsibilities

• Tint base colours according to batch cards and orders to match required shade
• Decant tinted products and prepare brush out cards
• Maintain neat tinting room, warehouse and shop
• Assist customers with paints and basic advice
• Adhere to Dulux tinting protocol and maintenance of machines/equipment
• Assist with stock takes and general warehouse/shop duties
• Save customer details on computer and file appropriately

Job description

We are a well-established Paint company in Western Cape, and we are looking to employ a suitable TINTER at our UPINGTON branch.

Colour Matching

• Matching and tinting of base colours according to the requirements on the batch card/order
• Repeat operation to attain specified shade
• Decanting of tinted products
• Matching of colours to master colour sample
• Making brush out cards of paint mix

Maintaining Current Data Keeping System

• Complete register according to specs and sign off
• Print stickers for filing system and tints
• Saving customer details on computer
• Filing of brush out card

General Work

• Responsible for neatness of tinting room, warehouse and shop
• Assist customers when carrying paints to their vehicles
• Adhering to Dulux tinting protocol regarding do's and don'ts of tinting and maintenance of machines and equipment
• Assist with picking of products in warehouse,
• Assist with stock takes and general work in warehouse and shop as required by Management from time to time
• Assist clients with basic advise as required from time to time
