A leading company in IT support services is seeking a Tier 2 IT Support Engineer for a fully remote role based in South Africa. The successful candidate will handle technical issues for UK-based clients, ensuring efficient resolution across multiple platforms. This position requires a proactive individual who is technically strong, customer-focused, and can work independently in a remote environment.
Working Hours: Full-time - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM (UK hours)8-hour shift including a 30-minute lunch break
Salary: R35,000 – R38,000 per month (Depending on Experience)

We’re looking for an experienced and self-motivated Tier 2 IT Support Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting UK-based clients. In this role, you’ll handle escalated technical issues, manage system troubleshooting, and ensure smooth resolution across various platforms, all while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:Provide second-line technical support across a range of systems, platforms, and applications
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and cloud-related issues (Windows OS, M365, Azure, etc.)
Resolve technical incidents independently or escalate to specialised teams where appropriate
Maintain accurate records of support requests and updates within the ticketing system
Support and guide Tier 1 staff where needed, and contribute to internal knowledge bases
Communicate effectively with users and team members to ensure timely resolution within SLAs
Minimum 3 years' experience in Tier 2 or second-line support, preferably within an MSP environment
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and virtualisation tools (Hyper-V or VMware)
Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and firewalls (e.g., SonicWall, WatchGuard)
Hands-on experience with Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and remote support tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Customer-focused with a positive, solutions-driven mindset
Technically strong and quick to learn new systems
Confident working independently in a remote environment
Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload efficiently
