Job description

We are recruiting a Senior Software Integration Engineers to lead a delivery domain within a multi-phase Telco transformation programme.

The integration scope spans the incoming vendor's product suite, covering customer and order management, convergent billing, online charging, value added services and FinTech, deployed in vertical, horizontal and public cloud scenarios.

The role is the technical owner of a delivery domain. It designs that domain's delivery solution and carries accountability for its deliverability through to service rollout, rather than executing to a design set elsewhere. Candidates whose experience is limited to executing integration work to someone else's design will not qualify.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Act as technical leader for a single delivery domain, covering deployment integration, business verification, system cutover and integration configuration
• Provide end to end delivery assurance for the assigned domain, including its remote delivery components
• Design and produce the domain delivery solution, including the integrated deployment solution, data configuration solution, test acceptance cases and solutions, service and migration solution, and the go live to maintenance assurance solution
• Carry accountability for the deliverability of the domain solution and for ensuring service rollout
• Identify and manage technical risk throughout execution, and close out product solution and service delivery solution issues
• Resolve major technical issues arising during remote project delivery
• Direct and technically review the work of implementation engineers within the domain
• Report domain delivery status, risks and dependencies into programme governance
• Consolidate technical solutions for the domain for reuse across the programme

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Integration delivery: Minimum 7 years delivering software integration on telecommunications BSS products
• Technical leadership: Technical leader for a single domain on at least two end to end BSS integration projects, with at least one project carrying an integration or customisation workload above 3 000 person days
• Solution design: Proven ownership of domain delivery solutions, covering deployment, data configuration, test acceptance, migration and go live assurance
• Vendor delivery context: Experience gained on vendor software service delivery, engineering or maintenance. Equivalent IT or communications industry experience is weighted at a discount.
• Qualification: Degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
• Work model: Five days per week on site. Core hours 09:00 to 17:00
• Travel: Overseas business travel is required
