Job description

Can you think on the go? If so, we have a Product Development & Contracting position available for a fast-paced, result-oriented person.

Responsibilities:

  1. You will be responsible for supplier negotiations and developing product for a specific destination.
  2. Develop and implement product strategy plans with the aim of achieving market share growth and reaching profit targets.
  3. Ensure all facets of the destination and products are managed.
  4. Maintain and build strong supplier relationships.
  5. Ensure contracts negotiated are relevant and in line with the product strategy, ensuring they are processed and distributed to the various divisions and stakeholders timeously.
  6. Successful negotiations of all aspects of the supplier contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Travel and Tourism Diploma
  2. Negotiation Skills Course (an advantage)
  3. Presentation Skills (an advantage)

Minimum Experience:

  1. Minimum 3-5 years of Travel Industry experience preferably in a contracting environment
  2. Working experience in negotiating contracts
  3. Experience with reading and interpreting contracts, commercial agreements, and service level agreements.

Must have a precise understanding of contracts and their terms & conditions.

Excellent global geographical knowledge

Experience working with margins, costings & calculating selling prices

Knowledge of Amadeus is an advantage

Knowledge of Travel Studio will be an advantage

Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

Knowledge of Travel requirements - Tour Operation (essential), marketing, reservations

  7. Able to work outside of normal working hours and travel when required
